High school Advanced Placement art students are in the process of developing the “concentration” portion of their portfolios in preparation for the annual Young Artists 2018 exhibition at the Katonah Museum of Art, opening this month.

This particular body of related works will demonstrate sustained and thoughtful investigation of a specific visual idea.

“From the onset of brainstorming to reflection and self-assessment, this visual investigation involves critical and creative thinking, collaboration and communication,” said fine arts teacher Diana Marinovic. “The works that are the culmination of this solving process will be featured at the Young Artists 2018 show at the Katonah Museum of Art.”

AP art students Nicholas Bruni, Julianna Cervoni, Joshua Coverdale, Shayna Cuascut, Olivia DeSanto, Alina DiMella, Daniella Jacobsen, Jacob Lanyi, Julie Laqueur, Molly McGuinness, Kelly O’Toole, Brianna Perez, Zachary Prisciandaro and Kathleen Wagner will represent North Salem High School among the more than 40 Dutchess, Fairfield, Rockland and Westchester county schools that are a part of the annual exhibition.

The show will run from Jan. 21-Feb. 11, with an opening reception on Sunday, Jan. 21 from 3-5 p.m. For more information about the exhibition, please click here.
