It's that time of year again when robots roam the halls of North Salem High School.

The Tech Wise Guys, NSHS's robotics team, engineered and programmed their original robot to enter an FTC FIRST Robotics Tournament at Riverside High School in January. This year's FTC FIRST Robotics challenge, called Velocity Vortex, required students to build and program a robot that can move in all directions, lift a giant ball, gather and shoot smaller balls and press color sensors both autonomously and with remote controls during a teleop phase.

The team demonstrated outstanding critical and creative thinking, collaboration and communication throughout the season and during the tournament, and everyone looks forward to deepening their building and engineering skills.
