North Salem High School student Leah Feniger has been recognized for her work in computer graphics and digital photography through the Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES Tech Center as a Student of Distinction.

Leah Feniger received a medal and certificate during the district’s Dec. 14 Board of Education meeting.

“Leah has shown an amazing effort toward learning new programs and exploring different creative fields,” her Tech Center teacher Aaron Armisto said. “She has proven that she is a lifelong learner by taking the initiative to go beyond assignment objectives, taking her artwork to the next level both creatively and technically.”

In addition to her creative endeavors, Feniger is an active Girl Scout ambassador and volunteer at her local temple.

“Leah is a model student whose work ethic, professionalism and creativity make her a leader and a supportive figure for others to gain knowledge from,” said Armisto.
