MS/HS Celebrates Pi Day

North Salem Middle-High School celebrated Pi Day on March 14 (3/14).

The day, which has become a school tradition, included a pie-baking contest, an estimate the number of jelly beans in a jar competition and a challenge that required students to memorize the most numbers of Pi as possible.

Congratulations to the winners of this year’s pie-baking contest and $10 Dunkin’ Donuts gift cards:
•    First Place — Elsa Bechu and Sarah McLeod
•    Second Place — Stephanie Blackwood

Pi Day was organized by the members of the school’s Match Club and Math Honor Society, under the direction of  Mrs. Anne Bratt.
