Despite being too young to remember the shocking events that occurred on September 11, 2001, North Salem Middle and High School students along with their teachers, administrators and staff members and members of the North Salem community paused to reflect on a day that won’t soon be forgotten on Friday, September 11.

Students wore white, while the flags on both school campuses were lowered in acknowledgment of the lives that were lost when the Twin Towers were attacked by hijacked airplanes 14 years ago.

In addition, Dr. Bovino spoke about the sacrifices made that day and called for a moment of silence which was followed by taps played by music teacher Mr. Stephen Austin.
